Nowadays we are flooded on the internet with diets and hypes so we don’t now what’s good or bad anymore: superfoods, detoxing, an unlimited variety of diets and weight loss products. Nonsense! Going on a diet is unnecessary and often impossible to maintain. Enjoying food should be the priority. So what’s stopping you!? By simply making some lifestyle changes, you can take good care of your body and enjoy your food at the same time. As a child I was already assisting my parents in the kitchen like a little kitchen princess. Quickly I started to cook myself and was trying out new things from my children’s cookbooks. Also, I’ve always been very keen on sports, from swimming to ballet, hockey, gymnastics and national level horse riding.

And then, my student days came. Byebye sports and hello fast food, snacks and wines. I found out my always tiny body wasn’t so fit and tiny anymore. Obviously, I needed to do something about that so I started to go to the gym and read more about ‘healthy’ food. This interested me so much that I started an education in nutrition and dietetics next to my job.

I discover more and more often how we are misled by so-called healthy products and learn more what nutrition does to your body. So far, I’ve applied my acquired knowledge and experience in a foodblog, where I made and wrote recipes, blogs and books for more than 6 months. I enjoyed this work so much that I want to continue and expand. I found my passion and love to share it with you.
