This sesame chicken with spicy broccoli doesn’t look that exciting on the first sight, but it’s not what it looks like! This recipe contains just 5 ingredients! But the sesame oil and soy sauce are making this dish very aromatic and delightful. So, a super easy and quick dish, but surprisingly tasty!

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 gr chicken breast
  • 350 gr broccoli
  • 1/2 chili
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

PREPARATION

Cut the chicken breast in long strips. Put them in a bowl and marinate with the sesame oil and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Put this on the side for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, put a smaal layer of water (about 1 cm) in a pan. “We are going to steam the broccoli in this pan so make sure you have a matching lid”. Put the pan on the heat and bring it to the boil. Cut the broccoli into florets and add them to the pan. Put a lid on it and let it steam for about 8 minutes.

Put a frying pan on a heat and add the marinated chicken. Bake until golden brown (abut 3 minutes on each side).

Drain the broccoli, cut the chili in small rings and take the chicken out of the frying pan. Now, bake the broccoli in the frying pan (don’t clean it!!), add the chili and the remaining soy sauce. Bake for about 1 minute on a high heat and serve with the chicken.
