Ooohh only when I look at it I already start mouthwatering. What’s better on a hot summerday than a refreshing watermelon? Watermelon consists of 95% water so it’s a perfect snack when you’re thirsty. Off course you can eat it just like that, but there are enough ways to pimp your watermelon.

You can’t go wrong with this recipe. It looks festive and you can add any flavor you like. Perfect when you are having a barbecue, as a refreshing snack or as a light dessert. Below a version of my favorite watermelon pizza. Do you not like these toppings? No problem! Experiment with flavors you do like. You can think of coconut, nuts, berries, seeds, dried fruit, spices, etc.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 gr watermelon
  • 1 tbsp low fat quark
  • 5 gr dark (85%) chocolate, melted
  • 10 gr walnuts
  • verse mint
  • lime

PREPARATION

Cut a big slice out of the watermelon. Put it on a plate and cut it into pizzaslices.

Now, spread all the toppings over the watermelon. Walnuts roughly chopped, mint, quark and lime zest and juice. Finish it with some melted chocolate.

Yumm, dive in!
